Engagement

I still glance through my engagement photos all these years later. It's a beautiful reminder to me of that space between dating and marriage that I'm so thankful to have captured. There's an "already, not yet" feel in the engaged period where you are so in love with this person and know you want to spend the rest of your lives together, but haven't yet experienced the highs, lows, and everything in between that makes up a lifetime of union with this other person. When I look at those photos of my husband and I, I laugh because we had no idea what we were getting ourselves into, but I wouldn't take away that time of blissful naivety for the world, cause I think that's just part of it.

Engagement sessions are honestly some of my favorites - they're intimate, fun, serious, joyful, and, lets be real, sometimes kind of awkward but all times kinda beautiful. Also, engagement sessions are generally included in my wedding package so, bonus, ya know?
